Yep, loads and loads of places in the town centre.
Daughter is at uni there and conveniently coincides with her returning back after Christmas.
Avoid London Road, but that’s outside of the town centre, in the town centre as long as you don’t act like a div you’ll be fine.
The Howard and The Globe opposite the station historically have always been the away fans pubs. |  |

As someone else has said , fill your boots with most places in town but avoid London Road as it’ll be full of Blades and isn’t the most pleasant of places
Eccesall Road is also an option - lots of cool bars , small real ale places , a couple of sports bars and an Irish bar called ermmm The Irish

Used to live in Kelham Island a few years ago; Kelham Island Tavern, Fat Cat, Gardeners Rest etc are lovely pubs but almost completely in the opposite direction, and not sure I want to spend valuable boozing time schlepping from there to BL.
Eccy road will probably the option i'll go for - as another poster has said, I will be stopping for one at the Sheffield Tap upon arrival/pre-departure at the station. One of the best pubs in the country. |  | | |
