that high is it? blimey didn’t think it had breached the 50 mark. i’ll go a 45+ bracket for norwich then, and sell out at 40+

It’s currently 48, but I’ve accounted for Stoke and Sheff Wed points (and maybe Southampton)

southampton should count, as they’ll have been sold prior to norwich going on sale, and a point will be bagged on purchase for that. not really looking forward to it being a coach ride in though, if all the weekends in the diary the rail works had to fall on that game!

We're a one club county with fans spread far and wide over Suffolk and beyond. I'll be coming from Yorkshire. What a palaver having to get a coach from Ipswich to Norwich, then back again. Could I make my escape if, say, I had a Brazil scarf on after the game? Or will it be strict herding like the time we all had to go to the train station whether we were on the train or not?

If they were as good as us, it would be a six-pointer, right? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I live close to the Norfolk border and dont relish having to drive to Ipswich and pay an extortionate cost to then get a bus right past my house! Many fans don't live in Ipswich so this would be shortsighted of the club who should accept that many people drive to games. But, from what I hear, you will only get your ticket on the coach and they will not be issued in advance to ensure everyone uses the coaches! I could be wrong though, just what I have heard

We were allowed to avoid the enforced herding to the station, just explained parked on Carrow Hill and they let us, helps to go as a family with kids in tow.

I tried that and didn't work for me so was herded to the station then left to our own devices to fight our way past all that lot who had just left the ground. Ended up having a police escort to our car! If they had let us avoid the herding, we would have got to our car before most of them left the ground

That would be ridiculous. As you say, loads of fans don't live in Ipswich. If everybody is expected to go on a coach that would require approx 50 coaches. I do live in Ips, but was intending to go and see my mates in Norwich on the Friday so I'm nearby for the early kick off next day. [Post edited 29 Jan 10:25]

Was surprised thry let us, they had said no to two lads in front of us , had the kids not been with us suspect we would have been refused. Always parked there, right at the top end , easy route out of City, Helped that I lived there for a number of years

I won't be getting a coach, I can tell you that for free. I'll buy the ticket and they can post it to me as normal. Must be against some sort of consumer law to insist on what is effectively an upsell in the name of security. Completely disproportionate to the risk as well, I've been to many East Anglian derbies and I've managed to not get myself in trouble this far. Absolute bullshit if that is true.
