Firstly I don't begrudge Wrexham and they really have gone about it fantastically well and with really likeable owners (or the face of it now essentially). I contrast it with Brum and their over the top blow everyone away awfulness .
But you are completely right. They have lower perm revenue now and are essentially now a top 6-7 champ club. Almost feels a matter of time before they make it (Birmingham probably the same). They also have the added advantage that they have become a really appealing place to go and play. A place where you can either finishing playing career as a high calibre pro or it gives a platform for those wanting to use as.a stepping stone (with potential to go up with them worst case).

That defender Max Cleworth might just be the most successful player ever. Signed his pro contract at Wrexham (having been n the youth team) pretty much the same time as the Americans came in. One season in the National League getting warmed up, and since then has been promoted every season he's played. He must think professional football is a doddle.

I suppose we had to expect bias given it was BBC Wales. The girl commenting on the match at half time must have been watching a different game to myself. She stated that Wrexham could have been three nil up at half time. She obviously didn't see the sitter McAteer laid on a plate for Hirst or the header Akpom put wide of the far post when two yards our at nearer to the near post. Dyer seemed as if he didn't want to be there and was as enthusiastic as a chicken with a fox in its run. When you consider that they had home advantage and the fact that whether we consider it or not we didn't appear over enthusiastic to win the game. Started with our fourth choice central defender and then put our leading goalscorer in the fullback position we still only lost one nil and had 47% possession to their 53% in the grand scheme of things to me that makes us the better team. But then like BBC Wales I'm biased. Great isn't it because we ain't even given the attention and

It was good to see Kieran Dyer pulling up Nathan Blake on that pre-match, Blake was going on about Ipswich's massive wage bill and Dyer interjected with "you don't think Wrexham have a massive wage bill too"
Blake responded weakly with a comment about Town coming down from the premier league.

Luton didn't spend the kind of money that we did upon promotion. And they made a far better fist of it, not the prettiest of football but they were far more competitive than we proved to be.

Absolutely and look at them now.
Who wouldn't want to be in Luton's position rather than ours?

In general I thought BBC Wales commentary was pretty decent, but Kieron was an excellent counter weight to stop it turning into a Wrexham gush fest on the 'studio' team. Great choice by BBC Wales.

Wasnt their downfall more to do with the owners putting the money into the club over players?
I have no idea. I know they made a better fist of it than we did in trying to stay up but that was because Ross Barkley was far more effective than Kalvin Phillips and that pattern was true across several other signings such as Muric, Cajuste, etc.
Our signings have built a foundation for a team that is challenging for promotion though. Luton's for whatever reason (and lack of spending is likely a big part of it) are not looking like getting back into the Championship soon let alone the Premier League.
