We had it beaten out of us by years and years of "not bothering". The club doesn't care about the competition. We used to really look forward to the FA cup. I realise that getting promoted is the be all and end all. It might be true for the money men running the club but personally I would love a cup run. At the end of the day history will give us three stars. What's the future going to give us. A lot of fat, wealthy, ex footballers. And a wealthy bunch of Yanks with their hedge fund and pension fund riding high. Bah humbug.

takes me back to my question this morning, when are we allowed a cup run? or at least want one? promotion challenges - no not allowed trying to stay up - no not allowed based on the PL season we had last year i would happily take an FA cup semi final at wembley over a top 2 finish all day long.

Ask the six thousand people on the season ticket list that question. Why do they really want the season ticket? Is it because they want to watch town week in week out or do they want to see the big premier league teams live at Portman Rd? [Post edited 15 Feb 4:29]
