Southampton have made 10 changes for their game against Leicester this afternoon in the FA cup.
If Leicester win, we will have to rearrange our game against them, as we are due to play Leicester at the same time as FA Cup 5th round date.
Portsmouth are scheduled to play Blackburn that week, so can’t even rearrange that game for the Saturday.

I remember the games pretty well because live football on TV was such a novelty then and if it was a game you really wanted to watch, like England , West Germany in a Qf, it was very exciting for a 14 year old. | |

It’s a side project that’s run its course. |
Cups are superb imo. You can’t beat the jeopardy of winner takes all matches. The only thing needed is for more clubs to take it seriously. That would get fans back and you’d get more upsets. Everyone moans about the biggest clubs making loads of changes, but they know their fringe players are still better than everyone else’s first team and they don’t mess about when they get to the advanced rounds. In the earlier rounds EFL clubs have chances of upsets if they field strong sides against PL clubs with a greater need to rotate because they’re also juggling European competitions. |  |
