| We're in a ding dong battle now (is this the biggest yet?) - support the answer! on 23:25 - Mar 2 with 333 views | unstableblue | Completely get why a significant portion of the fan base hasn't fully engaged with this season - changing of the much loved double promotion season guard, players not quite as easy to connect with, a more measured and perhaps ponderous style from McKenna...and crucially a bit of a muddled view from the Town fans that spending the most doesn't actually mean you're immediately the most settled and ready team for a true automatic promotion drive. More patience needed?? or valid concerns at times that we've lacked the fight, energy and drive needed to get out of the Championship in quite a number of performances - the low block can be beaten with waves of attack, and you have to be defensively astute. Having said all of the above, McKenna and the team have done a pretty decent job in getting us this close to two teams who've been building momentum and current squad quality for perhaps longer? But the good news, it really looks like this team of strangers is now beginning to click. Its exciting. Jury still out on whether the group has that special character needed to get to the Prem - the character that may be Boro and Coventry do have - and whether this momentum is now set (or another false dawn? there have been many this season). Also jury still out on some key signings like Egeli and McAteer? Mehmeti and Nunez truly master strokes.. and Clarke and Philogene silencing the boo boys (remember how loud they were?) But to the point (FINALLY) this season is now seeming like the biggest ding dong of the McKenna era??? - yes Boro and Coventry lack some of that Leeds/Leicester quality, but they've momentum. PLUS, this season we have these other stalkers, Millwall, Hull, Wrexham, Southampton. So what are the deltas for success now? in this final drive.. squad depth? well ours is good.. but so are Coventry and Boros. A delta is fans backing the team like lunatics, home and away.... LUNATICS.... something lacking bar a couple of away games this season, and something Boro fans are doing. Can this game changing support start tomorrow night?? I can't help but feel as a fan base that we'll get to the end of the season, perhaps having just missed the mark... and we'll go "f@ck did we actually celebrate/recognize enough some of the play we saw? and did we actually urge the players on enough?" LETS GO F@CKIN MENTAL! | |

That would be awesome but it takes a lot to get people going at the moment for some reason. Hopefully a night atmosphere will bring best out of the fans tonight. | |
