Almost like he knows what he's doing isn't it?

63% possession
Clean sheet
0 shots on target conceded
7 shots on target for Town
Limited them to just four shots all game

I like he reads frimmers HT thoughts and based his first subs on it. :)

Today's a good day.

I think they limited themselves for a lot of the game. What a horrible team they are, they had more yellow cards than attacks.

But yes, solid performance and a brilliant result.

On we march!

Fair enough, but I don't think he got the starting XI right tonight.

Oh and smart subs that led to a goal, plus more minutes for Neil who still needs a little time to get to his best having barely played.

If you can look at those stats and still think he got the plan wrong then there's not much point bothering to reply properly is there?

His starting xi will have been in anticipation of a low block. Move them back and fwd, tire them out, top subs on and score. All went to plan. We might easily have had three today.

You don't respond to anything, just satisfy yourself with specific stats.
Was Egeli the right choice to start on the right for instance?

Absolutely. We missed all our big chances again (3). Would have been a more comfortable win but for 2 excellent saves and the post.

McKenna utilises his squad. Tonight went to plan. How can you look at those stats and say he got anything wrong?

Egeli did a job. Every time we play, everyone knows roughly when the subs are coming and who they will be.

3 points secured which was the objective. That is all, move on.

I think you’re right.

I didn’t like the changes, but as I did my 60 lengths of the swimming pool I mused, and came to the same conclusion as you.

Yes he was. You dont put on Burns to flog himself at a low block. You hold him back and put him on when the opposition are tired.

The guy is an absolute football genius.

It was inevitable that once he had time to work with the new players we'd be a joy to watch.

Still criminally underrated!!!!!!!!

Wasn’t a pretty watch, but in control for near 90% of that game, without creating a basket full of clear cut chances. Very difficult when teams set up like that against us, and it normally takes a set pieces or a moment of magic to turn the balance.

Bizarrely Hull looked a lot livelier when they came out their shell in the final 10/15, makes it a little odd they approached the game the way they did.

A huge 3 points, to cap it off against Leicester will make for a terrific week.

Look, it's a great result & good performance, and we're speaking somewhat at cross purposes here perhaps.
But just because we got the win & have some impressive stats doesn't mean that each decision was right. I'm certainly not looking to be negative on a night with a massive win against a clear rival. But I don't think Egeli & Greaves were the best options to start tonight.

They were absolutely the right options whether or not they had good games.

KM sends the message that everyone is important and everyone contributes.

He's got the whole squad together and ready. He's resting players who need it.

He's making everyone feel involved.

Total vindication of his methods.

Last 30 games. W 18 D 6 L 6

60 points. 2ppg.

Great win against a rugged defensive side. We're in good form to face down
some tough looking fixtures coming up.
