I think Cov have gone in all honesty. Of course in theory we can catch them but I think they are showing everything needed to do it and the points gap is too much.
Everything seems to be going for them. Even tonight. Bristol City should be beating Port Vale and if they had then Cov game against them would have been rearranged. Not only do Bristol City lose but they went to extra time so shattered for the Cov game. |  |

You just had to listen to KM. He was telling us from the summer. Late arrivals and big turnover. It would take time.
But he's a world class coach so it was inevitable he'd build another top side.

December and January showed us that Cov wit their smaller squad struggle when there's lots of games in a short space of time, I rather suspect it could happen again over Easter. | |

Love that optimism. And you have been consistent with it too.
This team is getting stronger all the time and with the squad being strong and to an extent interchangeable, it should favour us as we are at the business end with games coming thick and fast.
The gap to Coventry is enormous and credit where it’s due, they’re finding a way to get results. However, if you win your games it’s amazing how quickly gaps can close/open up, as they did on SW three years ago and Leicester (almost) and Leeds (actually) two.
Just string wins and you never know. In reality, I think it very unlikely we’ll catch Coventry now, but Second place is certainly achievable. |  | | |

I'd quite like KMc to be just slightly frustrated at perpetually missing out on his first title and staying here until he gets it.
Second this season, second next season, second the year after that plus second in some additional 'league' we'd be playing in as a consequence, ad infinitum.

We have to do our bit, but both Coventry and Middlesbrough strengthened well during January & are capable of going on winning streaks, so it won't be easy even securing 2nd spot.
It really is a pain that we didn't get to play the Portsmouth game when it was scheduled; we almost certain would have won that game, & by a number of goals, at that time, but it gets a little bit trickier with each passing week. Points on the board for that one would have us 2nd now & put more pressure on the other two.
Looking at the fixtures, Coventry & Middlesbrough have arguably gotten easier run ins, although we have some key games at home AND in this league, it is often the expected 'weaker' sides that trip you up!
I think it will go to the wire, so remember to get plenty of fibre into your diet between now & May. | |
