Millwall gonna get second aren't they 18:19 - Apr 3 with 5059 viewsBouncebackIpswich

Look at their remaining fixtures, after the Budgies, who may not put in 100%...

Norwich A
West Brom A
QPR H
Stoke A
Leicester A
Oxford H

They are clear favourites to do it with that run in. Only hope is that they choke with the pressure, IMO.

Poll: What rating out of 10 do you give to Ipswichs season up to this point?

The words "Millwall" and "Premier League" don't go together. Of course we will get second.

Shouldn’t do. When you look at our squad compared to theirs.

We actually have some decent looking games. You want to play those clubs with little to play for. That starts Monday with Birmingham, who may as well be on the beach. QPR final game should fall into that category. Even Charlton away looks like that may be the case.

We should have far too much for WBA and Portsmouth. Middlesboro are woefully out of form and our record against them at PR is good.

My only two concerns are Soton and Norwich … the latter for obvious reasons. Southampton look in good form, but arguably could be resting up for the playoffs at that point. We can also afford to lose one of those games. Preferably not Norwich!

Beat Brummagem on Monday and looking good for us

I think this is the critical game to win. We go second with a game in hand ( unless the others win too ) and only need to match Millwall and Middlesbrough results to get automatic promotion. Psycologically the games in hand have been a burden but points on the board should ease that pressure.

Millwall have dropped points in 9/11 home games and 10/20 away games.

Home games:

Norwich - only lost 7/20 away games
QPR - 8/20
Oxford - 11/20

Away games:

West Brom - only lost 5/20 home games
Stoke - 6/20
Leicester - 8/20

Obviously doesn't account for quality of opposition but it would be something for them to win all six games. They will likely be over evens in the betting for all three away games.

We are in a good position. A couple of those sides getting a point would be brilliant for us.

It’s odd that people talk about our difficult run and in the same breath think Millwall’s is a cake walk when there are a number of the same sides.

Millwall are a good side, well organised, momentum, clearly a spirited squad as well, but they’re not PSG. I think it’s a pretty reasonable assumption that they’ll get somewhere between 9 - 13 points from their 6 games based on their form and season more generally. I think they’ll finish somewhere around 81 - 85 points.

2ppg for us should do it IMO.
