Mondays match is not the time or place to be chanting Ashton out or anything negative like that.
We are there for one thing only, and that is to get 100% behind the team at this vital time of the season.

How do you know the team would find such chants negative?

I'm sure the ethnic minorities / immigrants in the squad (around half) will love being told "Nigel Farage, he's one of your own".

If there is one positive to come out of this sorry affair it seems to be that those of us who actually want to support and encourage our players rather than hurl abuse and single out scapegoats may no longer be branded ‘happy clappers’.

I'll be there singing boisterously and shouting BLUE ARMY at an annoyingly loud volume.

You sound incredibly thick and actually a bit racist. Who are you to start picking out certain players of our team and telling us what they're views are based on their skin color/ background. You don't know... you're just using these players to push forward your politics. Opportunist b0llocks. They're individuals and they're likely to have their own views and don't need some self-appointed white knight to speak for them.

The storm over the last week was about a gaslighting, dishonest ceo, not political viewpoints.

This is the only correct thing to do, in my opinion.

I know one or two on here don’t agree, but what the team needs right now more than ever is our full support, we have a very, very good chance of automatic promotion and we have to back the boys.

Uppa Towen!

RIP Sir Bobby

I don't think despising Farage and Reform, wanting Ashton gone and supporting the team are mutually exclusive?

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

It's a fair assumption based on the fact nearly 80% of black and mixed minorities are unfavourable towards Farage:

Also Phil has strongly hinted the players he's contacted were upset at their shirts/changing-room/brand being co-opted by a political party/Reform.

I shall only be behind the team for half of the game. The rest of the time in front.

"I do not believe political viewpoints have any place on the Forum"

And others do not believe political viewpoints should have any place being pushed, even if inadvertently, by the club. But here we are.

Because we apparently needed another thread on the subject, I will say this. The club could have and should have handled the whole thing far better than they did. I won't personally be protesting on Monday, but won't be criticising anyone who does.

But you do therefore think they have a place at the club, destroying our brand equity, our togetherness, unity, and inclusivity, not to mention the chaos it must have caused in staff, owners. Sponsors and PLAYERS.

That’s the ‘gas lighting’ use of bringing people together I’ve ever seen.

We can support the team AND stop ASHTON FC.

Both are possible…, happy clapping out destruction, less so.

ASHTON OUT - he’s the one who 100% brought this to our door, while Southampton Millwall, Boro, Coventry and every team in England avoids this crap for a reason!!!

They’re together. We are not. That’s on ONE MAN (two including you).

No he hasn’t, that isn’t wht he said if you read his post. There was. I mention of him speaking to them, it just an assumption. You really are getting boring now posting anti Ashton on every thread because you just don’t like him. You have zero idea on how the players feel, but that is irrelevant nd we as fans re not charged with defending them or not, that is for the club, as is any discussion bout Ashton, like it is in every place of employment.

Our role is to get behind the team, be the twelfth man and help them get the three points and a step towards promotion.

You come across as someone who would prefer for the opposite just to remove ashton

It’s not his politics, well may be, just his overarching charge against Ashton

There is a bit of irony that a lot of those loudly declaring that we need to support the team, are the very people who have been labelling people happy clappers all season for, um, supporting the team.
