Has looked excellent today. If we get this version from here on then he's going to prove many people wrong including myself.

Me too, I think most people want him to succeed, you can point out his end product has been largely lacking since signing whilst also wanting him to turn that around. Hopefully he can push on from this.

Agreed not his fault we conceded but the point is that you need to finish those and then it's a different match entirely.

At least he put the lovely move away later.

The reality is that even the best finishers in the game still miss chances. Finishing clearly isn't his greatest strength, though.

A few people should be embarrassed piling in on him after one miss. Try not to be so reactionary eh?

Come off it. The miss was unbelievably atrocious. Incredibly glad he scored minutes later. But that does not detract from how bad a miss it was earlier in the game.

It was a poor miss, but it wouldn't have generated half the abuse it did if Brum hadn't gone up the other end and scored.

I don't recall Clarke getting similar pelters for hitting the post against Fulham with a similar outcome last season.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

It would. And it is because some are on his back from day one with a lot of it because of the fee paid for him. A few even seem to want him to fail.
