| The curious case of Jen’s Cajuste 21:21 - Apr 6 with 4087 views | Portman_Pie | If Azor is indeed injured next game at Norwich - can we trust the fresh and un played / exposed to minutes Jen’s in his place? | | | | |
| The curious case of Jen’s Cajuste on 16:44 - Apr 7 with 399 views | LA_Tractor_Boy | I don't like to accuse players of not caring, but I honestly don't think Jens' heart is in it. He wasn't exactly knocking the door down to rejoin us last summer and knows he can go back to Napoli in the summer if we're not promoted and keep picking up his wages there. The man clearly has the ability, but not the work rate to go with it. | | | |

This. No Way Cajuste will start ahead of Taylor (surely?)

| The curious case of Jen’s Cajuste on 12:38 - Apr 7 by Sharkey | He was in the Sweden squad for the Euros on 2020, and has played 25 internationals since then. He's now 26, and should really be approaching his prime and at least be in contention for a place in the the World Cup squad. Sweden have some flashy forwards, but not huge strength in depth in midfield. It's probably a shame for him he didn't get a loan to one of the better teams in Belgium or Holland or Portugal, because I think then he'd be on Potter's radar, as Sweden historically have no problem selecting players from those leagues. |
A shame for him? I think he was selling himself to the highest bidder. He could have come back here straight away if he wanted to. But, I remember, that was considered improbable and was a couple of months where he could have gone to Turkey or Saudi.... before we then must have upped our offer. I agree that a European league would have suited him more, but would they have paid what he wanted? His problem missing out on a World Cup. He's followed the money.

Cajuste hasn't started a league game since the arrival of Dan Neil & is now firmly 4th choice midfield player. I guess lack of confidence in him is what prompted McKenna to sign Neal. I doubt Cajuste will be back at Town after the end of this season.
