However, lest they become the only, or self appointed, representatives of fans. There are some points I agree with, others need definition before getting behind. I've watched Italian football with entire terraces with Tifo, drums and pyros. A great spectacle from afar, unfortunately from within they weren't watching the game and booed a well earned draw IMO. It felt a world away from English football, the flag wavers more enjoying waving flags than football. Here's my 2p. 1, 2 & 6: Fair enough, but needs to be judged against the wishes of fans in general. 3: Let's not run before we can walk on getting safe standing. 4: We all want cheap tickets, but not sure what emotive instances of 875% are referred to here. Financial rules means clubs have to self generate funds and this means ticket prices. A ticket in the North Stand v Port Vale Div 1 (Championship) 1 Jan 1996 was £9. Money supply has gone up 6 fold since 1996. 5: Lots of funny kick-off times, but anti-weekday games seems unfeasible given 46 league fixtures + cup. 7: Liaison should be with all fans, not potentially unrepresentative groups. Roll this into other communication. A tricky one, as a fragmented voice can reduce impact. 8: Yes. Football is singled out, I feel. 9: We all have a voice as it is, and diverse viewpoints. Leave it to the individuals lest that a group campaigns "not in everyone's name". I guess this is more a desire for active protest banners? 10: I sense a little bit of mixed messaging on this point about independence among active supporter groups when ACE is a collective. I'd like to understand more.

Unless everyone stops going and buying Tv subscriptions (which they won't), nothing will change. Its been happening for too long now. The elite clubs anyway, couldn't give a toss about loyal supporters.

9 feels intrinsically linked with the issues that BA highlighted the other week, which culminated in them being on the receiving end of a Mark Ashton tirade. If BA get the hairdryer treatment from Ashton for something as, let's face it, innocuous as complaining about ticket prices, you can just imagine the extent of the reaction they'd get if they chose to protest about something more uncomfortable for the club/Ashton.

Watching the matches on Sky on Monday, I did wonder if the tide is beginning to turn a little in some quarters. There was a lot of dead air with the 'coverage resumes shortly' placeholder (this was on Sky Sports Main Event) where, normally, you'd expect there to be wall-to-wall adverts. In fact, I think most of the adverts that were broadcast during Swansea v Boro and Hull v Coventry were for other Sky channels/products. Granted, subscribers are probably the big income stream, but I do wonder if advertisers are being more discerning with their money.
