| Team for Tuesday 08:33 - Apr 12 with 2335 views | GlasgowBlue | Bearing in mind our hectic schedule, Matusiwa playing through an injury and the quality of the opposition, I’d go with Walton Furlong O’Shea Greaves Davis Neil Taylor Nunez McAteer Clarke Hirst [Post edited 12 Apr 9:35]

| Team fir Tuesday on 08:37 - Apr 12 with 2067 views | _CliveBaker_ | This is where the squad depth really has to come into its own. Pompey had a tough 100 minutes and long journey back from Boro yesterday. We have the luxury of bringing in a fresh Neil, McAteer, Nunez, Clarke & Azon. Like you I expect 4 of them probably start. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Kipre come in for Greaves either. | | | |

Greaves looked in pain at the end there, thought he probably should have come off.

Yes, I think I'd go exactly with what you suggest. Toying with the idea of resting Dara and letting Kippers have a bash at RCB, I can understand if people thing that would be very silly at this stage of the season, however good Kippers and Greaves are. Johnson at RB (he's here, he's there...) to give Furlong a rest might be another risk with the defence.

Yeah he was struggling. I’d take him out Tuesday and then revert to yesterday’s back four against Boro. [Post edited 12 Apr 8:45]

Couldn’t could he? We’d blown two substitutions on Nunez so used all 5 subs. For that reason, I think Kipre starts on Tuesday.

No point in putting Jens on the bench yesterday. Hes a player that needs time and space to play, yesterday was always going to be a kick fest in the midfield hence having Azor, Taylor, Nunez and Neil. He’ll be back in on Tuesday, unless there’s an injury.

Think Kipre might come in regardless to counter the more physical approach of Colby Bishop.

| Team fir Tuesday on 09:27 - Apr 12 with 1584 views | BloomBlue | I think Kipre will start. Greaves had been a sub for a long period and then came in for Kipre's suspension, he has played brilliantly but think KM will rest him for Pompey. And Azon starts instead of Hirst. I can also see an arguement for Memeti starting ahead of Nunez. Nunez is very important and must start against Boro, hence I could see KM going with him starting as a sub on Tues, and not place too much pressure on his recent injury. | | | |

Will need to be changes for sure interesting to see what KM does with Nunez, can't imagine he was happy with him yesterday. Kipre, Neil, McAteer, Clarke will almost certainly start. I'd be inclined to keep Hirst and go with Nunez also.

I'd forgotten that Greaves picked up a knock so bringing in Kipre would make sense. Would want Greaves back for the rest of the season though. I just think he is a class above Kipre.

Beat Pompey and Blackburn pull a rabbit out of the hat against Saints and we can lose to Boro* and still be in pole position. This was kind of how I felt yesterday, that even a loss wasn't going to define our season, unless we let it. It's one game at a time innit. *why would we even be contemplating that though. Fact is we will and quite rightly be favourites.

This. Really could do with 4 points from the next 2 games at least, certainly can't afford to lose to Boro as they then host Sheff Weds when we're at Charlton and that could be proper squeaky bum time, especially with Hackney coming back and our other game in hand being Saints away. I don't like talk of free hits as we're capable of going anywhere at this level and getting a good results, but if there is one it needs to be Southampton. I'm almost viewing it as us having 1 game in hand at the moment, which is tomorrow. 4 points from the next 2 and Boro are pretty much out of the picture as their ceiling is then 81 or 82. I think Millwall will be too if we do that. I don't think Saints catch us either at that point. Boro and Saints ceiling is 84, Millwall 85 with a poor GD. If we're on 79 points after 42 games we're laughing. 81 is dreamland. [Post edited 13 Apr 9:58]

1,000,000%. We win this, we're practically there. 5-6 pts clear of Millwall and Boro with a better GD. Let's not take our feet off the pedal now that we've got a little bit of daylight. Draw with Boro or better, then we could be almost gift-wrapping promotion at The Valley.

10 points from 6 games guarantees it, 8 points is likely enough. It's a fabulous position to be in. Millwall, Boro and Saints are all in a position where anything less than maximum points now virtually kills them off if we win Tuesday. [Post edited 13 Apr 9:51]
