| Predicted points from the final 6 games 14:56 - Apr 13 with 3105 views | BouncebackIpswich | Sorry know this has been done to death but would appreciate everyone's honest predictions For me - Portsmouth A - 3 pts (can't decide between draw and win here, could go either way) Middlesbrough H - 1 pt (sounds pessimistic but I think they'll be glad to have a game where the onus isn't on them as heavy favourites and we'll have played midweek) Charlton A - 3 pts (has to be, surely. They've lose their last 5 at home. Plus revenge for the 3-0 at PR) West Brom A - 0 pts (surprise loss, with fixtures catching up and tiredness kicking in against a horrible, gritty defensive side) Southampton A - 0 pts (as good as we are it's daunting to go there right now) QPR H - 3 pts (hopefully we won't be needing the win in this game, because it will be horrible and nervy as hell) Total - 10 points, 2nd place finish and promoted by 2 points ahead of 3rd | |

| Predicted points from the final 6 games on 11:26 - Apr 14 with 281 views | hammo56 | Pompey L Boro D Charlton W West Brom L Southampton L QPR W Total-7 points giving us a total of 82. With our goal difference probably enough to see off Boro and Millwall but Southampton might be another matter. Could be squeaky bum time. | | | |

We have lost 3 matches in our last 23 Championship games. Since the 2nd December 2025 we have lost 3 league matches .... and you are predicting that we will now lose 3 in 6 games. I'm all for being cautious but this is a whole different level of pessimistic!

As they say we are now at the business end of the season where anything can happen. Think tonight will be a lot tougher than some think, West Brom certainly won’t be easy and if Southampton are still in contention for automatic when we go there then that will be a real test.

They're all tough games but so were Norwich, Birmingham and Millwall previously. As I say I'm all for being cautious but believe in what you see which is an Ipswich Town side who have got better and better and are now unbeaten in nine games. It's not a side who have let the pressure get the better of them in many games, it's not a side who concede many, not a side who struggle to score and ultimately not a side who lose very many. Believe!

Sure, anything can happen. But you've predicted our form to tail off to a level that's not been reached since Aug. Do you genuinely see that happening after Saturday's result or is it just self-preservation? Come on, this Pompey side has nothing on us.

This is the right answer. Of course, we might implode under pressure, and have a terrible run in - but it looks incredibly unlikely. Since Xmas we have scored in every game except Millwall on Boxing day, conceded very few goals - rarely more than 1 and averaged over 2.1 PPG.

Well tonight they certainly didn’t look like a side who has nothing on us. Hope I’m wrong but I still can see us losing a couple more from the final 5 games remaining. [Post edited 14 Apr 23:36]
