Supply and demand in practice.

Yeah, they can justify this internally with six thousand people on the waiting list. Wonder if they brought the announcement forward after the Norwich win.

Fourteen for me as well. It'd be nice to know how they're justifying an increase of almost FIVE times inflation (year to Feb 26). Or, if we look at it on a cost per game basis, it'd be a 38% (THIRTY-FECKING-EIGHT) increase should we be promoted. I hope that the administrative staff at the club are getting pay-rises in line with ST increases.

| Season ticket time on 10:21 - Apr 16 with 4512 views | Herbivore | They've really hiked it up over the last 2 years now. From under £400 in SBR lower to £469 now. If we go up to the Prem that's a fraction shy of £25 per game. Not outrageously expensive but against just over £18 per game this season that's still a decent uptick. And a cancellation window of 4 days is pretty poor stuff as well. | |

It is just completely unnecessary too and long been a bugbear of mine that they (and tbf other football clubs) spin this myth that fans need to put their hands in their pockets to keep us competitive. For reference, if every season ticket in the stadium was priced as if it was in the most expensive block (block H in the Cobbold) then this uplift would generate £1.9m for the club which is around 16% of the money that Ipswich spent on agents fees this season. There is simply no reason for Ipswich to exploit fans because they don't need the money.
| Season ticket time on 10:24 - Apr 16 with 4445 views | BlueBlueBluex2 | It amazes me that my two seats in Cobbold C are some of the most expensive, yet I have access to the worst facilities in the ground. | | | |

Look at Fortuna Düsseldorf - they're trying to work towards making all matchday tickets free. There was also a report a couple of years back which showed how Liverpool don't need ticket revenue at all. Then tell me how Town absolutely HAVE to raise ST prices. It's exploiting loyalty, and it's f***ing shameful.

Still, at least there's proper accountability about how all of that is being spent. Oh.... [Post edited 16 Apr 10:38]

What can be done about it though? In reality, nothing. Just have to put up with it, the demand is there these days.

| We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub. |

….what the actual current income from STs is and then what the additional income is from a 12% increase compared to a 5% increase. It will be less than you’ve noted (lower average price) and will undoubtedly hardly make a dent in the finances, particularly if we get promoted. Like many decisions made by our self obsessed, walking cliche of a CEO/Chairman, it isn’t a good look.

Playing devil's advocate - has anyone actually seen any evidence that the waiting list is as long as it's claimed to be? They've still not released people's positions, have they?
