| Charlton Lead 1-0 Against Wednesday 16:14 - Apr 18 with 773 views | Kievthegreat | While there are other games with direct impact, this could be a really helpful result. If things stay the same way, Charlton will be 8 points clear with only 3 to play. Given the number of teams between them and Oxford, it's 99.9% job done. Useful for our trip on Wednesday EDIT: Put Tuesday instead of Wednesday [Post edited 18 Apr 16:14]

You never know how a team will react, but if I had the choice between, 'side now clear of relegation' and 'side fighting for their lives', I'd rather the former.

alternatively, they could be safe before that if wba get their points deduction (though that could make the wba game harder...) too many permutations, wish we'd started the season stronger so we could avoid all this!

Wish we could go back and change our minds on letting certain players leave until jan window. Morsy. Broady. Chappers. I don think if we allowed a better transition for the new players it would have given us a better start to the season.

the reason we started so badly was that we had to play chappers and had broady, woolf & hutch sulking around the squad, shame we took so long to bring in their replacements. adding a sulky chappers and morsy to the bench after denying them their dream moves wouldn't have helped matters

Disagree. Id have started morsy whilst azor worked with him and learned the role rather than chucking azor straight in and having to run the midfield in his first month of English football. Chappers could have carried on being his usual self rather than us trying to make sammy s work in the role or die a death with akpom. Wolfy we didnt need tho so that one I did agree with.

morsy is a shadow of his 2023-24 self, same with chappers. we needed better, we just took too long getting them in the building

Which is probably why Woolfenden pushed so hard for a move. He didn't understand why we were so desperate to keep hold of him. I have to wonder if he would have had a place on the bench even during the spell where we were missing Davis and Kipre. Edit - Although he hasn't had the best of seasons, it doesn't feel like we've adequately replaced Chaplin in the ten role. The likes of Szmodics, Nunez and Mehmeti play a different way, which doesn't seem to suit our style. [Post edited 18 Apr 16:48]
