Thought he got caught in no-mans-land missing their flick-ons a couple of times in the second half but overall I would still pick him.

Poor for the first goal, wrong positioning completely

The only Muff in Town.

^^^^This. Played everyone on side and failed to block the cross for the first. Two bits of poor defending in one incident. Always seems to be stretching for me but overall, he was OK today I suppose.

He’s a bit of a headless chicken for me. He’s a big fan of causing chaos, which is fine in the opposition’s box (e.g. for Hirst’s goal at Norwich). It not so good around our box. He can be excellent (Norwich) but he can also be unpredictable. Before the Pompey game he even took out another one of our players on a simple heading warmup drill. I bet they put the best China away if he ever goes near the boardroom lol

Yes, I think his positional sense is often lacking, and for the size he is he seems to me to be too easily knocked off the ball or onto the floor.

Personally, I am not convinced he is good enough as first choice for the greater threat we would face in the Premier League, and the same may well be true of Kipre, although he is a more robust defender.

But as back-up, I think both would be good enough were we to sign someone better to partner O'Shea.

Neither of them are prem players. Not a chance.

I think he has improved generally and makes fewer of those mistakes now. He has made those mistakes, definitely, and he still makes them at times which remind us of when he made them more frequently, but I think he's improved enough to give me some hope that he can cut it a level above. He definitely has the ability to do so if he can continue to tighten up his game.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!
