Love him but frustrating sometimes in that he seems to hang on to the ball for fraction too long.

Chappers' strength in the 10 was that he played balls early and quickly. Sometimes feels like Nunez waits too long.

He’s not really a 10 to be fair to him. Hes done a decent job there on the whole, but he’s more effective in a deeper role imho

Yeah that's fair comment. It does seem strange the number 10 thing - who did we think was going to be first choice in there? I know Egeli can play across the three and Anis but what was the thinking in the summer?

Akpom wasn't it? Nunez, I'm sure, was brought in to play deeper.

I don't think he had the options today. Bear in mind almost everything went through him, and not everything will come off.

He doesn't look as tenacious in the tackle and able to hang onto the ball like he did towards the start of the season, and maybe half a yard slower. As a result he's probably not quite as effective in a creative sense. Still a big part of the team and I think we have a nice mix in that position with him and Mehmeti.

We do probably need both of them to add some more goal contributions in the next couple of weeks.

Szmodics and Akpom.

If we knew how unsuited (some might say poor) both those two would be, we would have stuck with Chaplin I'm sure.

Yes think you're right. But it's Akpom really a 10. He's a 9.5 really!

I think the plan was to play Akpom/SS there, neither of which worked out.

We now don’t have a recognised 10 imho. It’s not the preferred position of Mehmeti or Nunez

Not really rocket science to know both sammy a and akpom werent suited as our 10 considering both like to run beyond the striker and get involved in attacks created by others.

Similar to mehmeti whos used to playing on the left and cutting inside into gaps created by other runners.

For someone to technical KMs love of trying to turn players into something they arent is one of his biggest weaknesses.
