Yes, I'm intrigued to see what sort of reaction there'll be from the evangelical lot, who are usually fully behind genocide, and desecration of religious sites/iconography. I wonder what they'll come up with to justify it being done to their own faith.

Isolated incident innit, that the IDF have condemned and are looking for culprit etc. Plenty enough to keep the Christian right onside.

to be honest, trump has been desecrating the christian faith for years with precious little pushback from the "christian" right

Christians are persecuted in many countries around the world. Israel featured as 78th in Open Doors World Watch List in 2024.

Setareh, a 60-year-old woman and “proud Iranian”, said synagogues in Tehran were left without guards and “remain open throughout the day”, even during war. “Muslim and Jewish communities live here together, we’re not separated. We all live together in peace,” said another man, Ayman, 35. “We are all Iranians and this is our home.”

I’m starting to suspect Olly Robbins is a bit of a wrong ‘un, or at least not the sharpest tool in the box lol Ramping up spending on weapons and war machines while closing the only programme that tracks war crimes seems very on point for the times. [Post edited 24 Apr 5:27]

For balance and context you’d need to post Islam slaughtering Christian’s in Africa every day, killing protestors, stoning woman, killing peoples for being gay. There are no winners. There isn’t a ‘good’ team, or side it’s just v factional and it’s in everyone. That’s why you pick a side and try to make it good, when it’s vile and evil. Hamas and Hizbollah AND the IDF would slaughter every man woman and child for their group if and tribe to win. Life is cheap. Tribe and group id are everything, and Islam is very specific on what needs to be done. There is no kindness and no mercy. Maybe you struggle that these behaviours are in you, a need to control, a hatred of people who disagree, wanting to close dissent by any means. Go and read the Stamford experimented, ALL human nature is unkind at its core, tribal and primitive and reductive, we express it through sport, which is obviously a good thing. But it’s within everyone, we didn’t evolve in spite of these traits, but because of them. We can condem them, and should, but we need to condem ALL of them, or NONE. Because otherwise we’re part of the tribal, reductive, hate fuelled game, we make it worse when we take sides. When there is no good team. Call it all out or don’t call it out. I’d suggest you put your energy is positive places. You aren’t solving human nature to destroy what’s ’not like me’ just see this board for evidence. Stay positive. 1-3 against Southampton, think we struggle against WBA, but win the big one against all odds. Gotta dream. Send love to the Muslims that innocently suffer, and the Jews whoms babies had their heads chopped off, and old ladies hand grenades placed in in humain places …, while elected parties and entire cultures and countries danced in the streets. There are no winners. Or sides. It’s not football. It’s dogma. Up the Town.

I'm on the side of international law and human rights. Of course, it is to be expected of countries like Russia and terrorist organisations that they have no respect for either but I would expect better of Israel (and the US) because they are liberal democracies which are supposed to believe in the rule of law and the international rules-base order.
