In two years we have gone from being everyone’s second club in the Championship to the most despised club who have the referees and league in their pocket! The hate on X over the last 24 hours has been quite something! We are the Leeds of 23/24! Supporters of other clubs seem to conveniently forget the apologies we had from the PGMOL of a month ago and just believe we are cheating our way to promotion. What are you talking about? There's an obvious difference between how an unfancied club going for promotion is compared to one with parachute payments.

We were more the "plucky underdogs" disrupting last time. That's always more interesting for a neutral or fan of other club vs a parachute payment squad who's spent £150 million recently.
Combine that with our high penalty count and it writes itself. I also think for non-Ipswich fans we were much more entertaining to watch last time round | | | |

Understandable to be fair. Had I not supported Ipswich (or Leeds / Southampton) I certainly would've been rooting for us in 2024. Unfancied, largely the same group of players who had got us up from L1 going on a charge and sticking it to the parachute clubs. Not to mention it was Leeds who missed out. In the same respect most people seem to want Spurs to go down this season.
This season I'd probably want Millwall to do it for a similar reason over us or Southampton. |  | | |

X is a horrible cesspit so it's not surprising, as are all of the football feeds on FB that I have to aggressively hide or remove. Given the choice of a nuanced/balanced article/viewpoint or one that encourages frothing at the mouth, most platforms opt for the latter. [Post edited 20 Apr 12:06]
