Anyone know for certain who this is? Because let's be honest, it's a mess isn't it.
We have made some awful recruitment decisions over the past 2 years.
Sammie Szmodics - John Eustace loves him and wants to keep him, but why did we buy a player who just doesn't fit our system?
Chuba Akpom? No discussion needed, insane decision just done to spite Brum.
Walle Egeli? A record fee for the Championship, but no place in a team aiming for a return to the PL and behind our right winger in L1.
Alex Palmer, now behind the keeper we had in L1.
Aro Muric - a keeper who doesn't communicate with the defenders. Hopefully we recoup our money as he is a decent keeper in Italy.
Kalvin Phillips.
It seems so many of our recruits are "good on paper" but don't fit in our system, and/or have been bought to prevent other teams having them. The money we have spent has been really poor. Do we have a decent scouting network? So many clubs seem to find good players at decent prices, and with all our riches we should have smashed it this season, but we've made a dogs dinner of the recruitment. To me, this is by far the biggest area we need to do better.
