| Out of all the souless bowl stadiums 14:38 - May 6 with 2652 views | hype313 | Would most agree that MK is the best? Or am I just being biased because it was great fun when we went en masse? Thought Location, amenities and the Stadium itself was/is nice in comparison to most of the other awful places I've been too. | |

| Out of all the souless bowl stadiums on 09:51 - May 7 with 386 views | Len_Brennan | I didn't want to like the MK Dons stadium & years before had sworn that I'd never set foot in it out of disgust for the franchise like transaction that allowed them to take over Wimbledon's league spot ... but I really enjoyed it there & it turned out to be a highlight of our time in L1. So there you go, it turns out that (a) you can actually have a great night in a soulless stadium & (b) I have no principles; who knew! Also, as an aside, Wimbledon's new home is a lovely stadium too & I'm delighted for them to have it after all the shenanigans that created the MK Dons 'project'. | |

Remember that well I think 3 of us were 50 year old ball boy's on the side with no stand.

Basically, a dilapidated version of the Olympic Stadium, redeemed only by the twin towers (which couldn't realistically have been saved or incorporated into the new design). |
But a lot of people do have rather rose tinted memories of it. Ok, a lot of great events happened there but it should’ve been demolished a lot sooner. And I know it’s fashionable to bang on about soulless bowls but to me comments like that are that are strange. New stadiums take time to capture memories - old dumps remain old dumps.

One that gets a lot of flak on here is the Madejski at Reading. I hate the journey back to town if you haven't driven because by the time I get from the away end to the shuttle buses, they've all gone so you face a 40 minute wait or a 45 minute walk along central reservations of dual carriageways to get back to town. And, like most out of town stadia, the food & drink options are limited to plastic fast food joints. But - the seating, viewing & concourses are all very good. This issue with the so-called "soulless bowls" is usually their location, not their structure.

Although Spurs going down would be hilarious, I’d rather be going their next season than another visit to the London Stadium. It just isn’t a football stadium.
