I test drove an I-Pace and went for the XFS instead. The range of the electric one wasn't quite enough for trips back down to Suffolk at the time.

He chose the wrong Jag.

I’m sure the former revered SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon had no idea. I mean, everyone has a dirty great Winnebago on the drive don’t they? Of course she had no knowledge of her husband having it away with £400k of SNP funds. Not in the least bit fishy, or his connections with the current leader of the SNP.

There’s a reason why I have no time whatsoever for politicians.

Is this really the case or are the SNP desperate to keep a lid on the stench behind this?

I’m assuming you are closer to the story and would appreciate your view.

If he’s just a lone thief, how was it allowed to happen?

Big 'the money was just resting in my account' energy there.

Although there are over 1,600 national level politicians including the Lords plus another 19k+ local level ones in councils. You’re bound to get some bad eggs and it seems churlish to write them all off. From my experience of working alongside a few (albeit a decade ago now) they are not all like this at all.

My experience working too close to comfort to senior politicians is the opposite.

Obviously I generalised (unfairly) and of the 1600 including the unelected in the HoL enjoying the best restaurant in London, there are plenty that are good people doing their best - especially locally. That’s certainly the case with my local (tory) MP.

There are also plenty that are weak, see their appointment as a meal ticket and worse.
