Got a tip from my scout in Switzerland.
Leon Avdullahu - defensive midfielder, has been in Bundesliga with Hoffenheim for the last year, before that with Basel.
He doesn't get goals or assists. But he does more interceptions and passes than anyone else. Just what we need alongside Matusiwa, can drop into defence if needed, is over 6 foot. 22 years old. Transfermarkt has him at Euro25M, but he's some player and haven't heard him linked with English clubs.

Just done a stats check on one of the two sites I use for such things. You're certainly spot on with the goals and assists, no goals, one assist in 2,838 minutes spent on the pitch in the Bundesliga only this season just finished. Also I had to look about 3 times, one aerial duel won all that time! The site also lists him as having no stand out strengths or weaknesses, but likes to take long shots, obviously off target! That is all I can unearth about Leon. Of course he's just 22, not 23 till next February, so obvious scope for improvement. Your " scout " obviously knows rather more than I do if he's seen him in the flesh a few times at least, which is of course essential when dealing with potential targets, to back up the stats ( or not ). We'll see what, if anything, happens! |  | | |
