Massive shout out to HBO’s Industry. Unexpectedly brilliant show. Coke snorting brokers and traders doing their thing but much more layered than that. Highly recommend.

Need to finish Vikings. Never the same post Ragnar. Bjorn aside, I just find this kids annoying and ended up stopping.

Mr Inbetween. On FX.

A lesser known gem. A hitman in Sydney with a heart of gold. Nice and quick 30 minute episodes. 3 seasons and done. The guy who plays his MND afflicted brother should have won every award going from now until the end of time.

Anne Wilkinson from 90s Neighbours fame also crops up a fair bit.

It is a crying shame not more people know about it as it is, frankly, excellent. Well worth reading the story about Scott Ryan (the creator and main actor) as his story is fairly interesting. It is, literally, the only thing he has ever done, and the only thing he wants to do.

Great when he goes to group therapy/anger management

Better to stay silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt

Mr Inbetween is a great shout, forgot all about that one, some of the best TV you'll ever see.

Dark Winds is great, 1970s set Navajo cop drama.

Justified, if you've never seen it is well worth watching, think there's 5 or so seasons of it about a US Marshall who goes a bit rogue.

And presume everyone is up to date with Rivals? Seriously fun TV that, don't be snobby about the fact it's based on Jilly Cooper if you've not watched it!

I really enjoyed it even though I had no idea what any of them were talking about.

Babylon Berlin probably the best show I've watched in the last ten years. Final season out soon.

Alien Earth a close second if you've not seen it yet.

For All Mankind excellent if you like that sort of thing (I do).

'River' - a 1 hr 15 mins film, 2021. Described as -
"A profound cinematic and musical reflection on how rivers have shaped both the planet’s elaborate landscapes and all human existence.

Throughout history, rivers have shaped our landscapes and our journeys; flowed through our cultures and dreams. RIVER takes its audience on a journey through space and time; spanning six continents, and drawing on extraordinary contemporary cinematography, including satellite filming, the film shows rivers on scales and from perspectives never seen before. Its union of image, music and sparse, poetic script create a film that is both dream-like and powerful, honouring the wildness of rivers but also recognising their vulnerability."

Was on UK TV recently for free, but looks like you may have to pay to watch it now, cheapest I could find was £3.50. All I can is that it's worth every penny - fascinating, haunting, moving. Should be compulsory viewing for all, from schoolkids to Board members & shareholders of all water companies - well particularly for them actually ...

It's a co-production with the BBC and I am pretty sure all the series show first on the BBC.

Quality of new tv series is pretty poor/rushed out these days. New series that are watchable are often Taylor Shreridan related, Mayor of Kingstown, Landman and Dutton Ranch etc. If you want an older hidden gem try Love Hate or Deadwood.
