I’ve been listening to a lot of Paul Gambaccini shows lately, He has loads of stories of Lennon and McCartney sniping at each other through their songs.

He’s definitely worth a listen

There is a great book by Ian Leslie called “John & Paul: A Love Story in Songs”. Well worth reading.
