| Manager Merry Go Round 12:53 - Jun 9 with 2129 views | kizaitfc | Maybe it's my own self delusion here but IF McKenna were to leave, I believe that Thomas Frank (if we wanted him) would see us as a more appealing prospect than Fulham (who he has apparently turned down). He could view us as being very similar to when he took over at Brentford, young(ish) team on the up starting to invest in the foreign markets, needs to stabilise into a Premier League side If the worst happens and KM does leave, the managers available do appear better than last time we were promoted and panicking about losing KM. Thomas Frank Liam Rosenior Gary O'Neil (maybe avoid due to Norwich past) Robbie Keane (if Celtic opt for MON) Scott Parker (Likely to go West Ham) Kjetil Knutsen (Risk given no English football experience) Steven Gerrard (Would split opinion) | |

| Manager Merry Go Round on 12:58 - Jun 9 with 2040 views | JakeITFC | I would be quite upset if we hired any of that list tbh outside of Frank or Knutsen (but both would be risks as effectively come from clubs built around them). I'd like to hire the next McKenna rather than a tired old name. Shoot for the stars. | | | |
| Manager Merry Go Round on 12:59 - Jun 9 with 2026 views | Marshalls_Mullet | Frank said hes taking time off, and I believe hes genuine. Liam Rosenior - Before his Chelsea stint and transformation into Alan Partridge, he would have been on my list. The others are all boring options. Robbie Keane maybe. | |

I agree. I’d never heard of McKenna before we signed him, but I am only your average fan. I’d half expect we have a list of other highly thought of young coaches. The challenge often is the upheaval of a manager taking all his back room team with him. I do really hope he stays. Otherwise we are going to need a one season manager bounce!

That might please some of our supporters that yearn for the McCarthy long ball hoof, but it wouldn’t please me. A hasbeen on the way down. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Dyche's football isn't aesthetically pleasing necessarily but he knows the PL and what it takes to keep a side in the PL, we could do far worse Tonda Ekhart prior to Spygate would have probably been a reasonable shout, I guess the current Middlesbrough boss is another but I actually think we could go more high profile now and go with someone with a bit more on their CV [Post edited 9 Jun 15:30]

I think Ashton will want another up and coming manager, but there's a bit of me that thinks the ownership group will be looking for a much more pragmatic approach this time as there's a lot more to lose. Another thought would be along the lines of Brentford and promote upwards like they did with Andrews. It keeps the stability/continuity of the team, are Aluko or Stanislas management material? If Ashton could persuade someone higher up the foodchain but slightly left field, would Molina at Arsenal be one? Profile is similar to McKenna, degree at Uni, assistant at Athletico and Arsenal? Eurgh....it's awful thinking along these lines....always felt McKenna was building a proper legacy like Robson!

Forgot about him. Yeah, would take him. Similar mannerisms, calm, speaks well, would suit Ipswich.

Molina would be absolutely on the list I imagine. Really interesting journey and loads of experience at a young age.

The Nodge manager would be fun
