From the Talksport story, which can only come from one place... 15:49 - Jun 9 with 5912 viewsitfcjoe

....it seems as though McKenna is attempting to flutter his eye lashes at Fulham and is very interested in the job.

Hopefully they can find a free agent to take the job quickly, so the vacancy is filled and we can move on with next season.

If he does go, really hard to see good candidates out there to carry it on - sure Ashton will have his list of targets. This time 2 years ago the only name really mentioned and seen as who we'd go for if McK left was Rob Edwards.

I don't get all the negativity. I will back him all the way as our manager, but he did not exactly set the world alight when we were in the Prem last time round. He is not going to bring in any ringers either is he?

As long as we recruit a better manager, with good connections, we could be in a much much stronger position if he goes.

Can it only come from one place, Joseph?

No possibility that it could be coming from a Talksport journalist trying to get clicks?

If it were McKenna/his agent leaking it, why would they only bother leaking it to Talksport? Or, I dunno, not ring up Fulham directly and say he might be interested?
If it's to start placating the fans, why not leak it to local journos?

Phil seems to think it's just speculation and he's heard Fulham haven't decided who to go for, unless I've missed an update. I see nothing from Talksport that's any more concrete than that.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Stay or go I’m not to worried he has done a great job here and leaves us in a better position than when he started.
What worries me is we got promoted weeks ago and from what I am seeing we have now lost that advantage of not going through the playoffs and being a step ahead.
I know it’s a World Cup year but the last thing we need is for this to drag on for weeks we need to get moving or we will be playing catch up going into the season.

I presume the club knows KM's intentions by now, they must be actively planning for a new manager. If Fulham offer him the job, he's gone.
Regarding Hellberg at Boro, I'm not so sure he'd move here, he might well fancy another crack at promotion with Boro, give it one full season full throttle and see what happens.

Pointless all these endless debates and opinions stated on here as fact.

That being said, obvious choice - get Tonda Eckert. Already knows more about Ipswich than any other manager.

Compensation to us and wages to McKenna? Chump change to Fulham. Their owners are worth £13bn plus change. Their owners could find any amount for McKenna down the back of the sofa.

It’s immaterial whether he or his Agent is stirring the pot. They’re one and the same thing given the Agent works for McKenna. It’s simple, stay or go. If KM wants away, absolutely fine. Just get it done ASAP.

Fulham don't really operate in that space, they're not exactly big spenders. I would imagine the idea of spending £8m on a release clause and then offering McKenna 5M+ a year won't be a decision made lightly.
