It’s a significant material amount for financial compliance calculations. You don’t put something like this in a contract if it’s not going to be a deterrent for many suitors. | | | |

- big bonuses for over-performing in the next 1-2 years
- a clause that he would be released for less is a certain club came calling

There have been a lot of clubs chasing him already if they don’t see him elite potential. As far as I’m concerned, if he wanted a new 4 year contract with us right now, I’d say give it to him. There is a synergy between our manager and club, and that will be hard to/ take time to reestablish. | | | |
