Bascially Mckenna wants the job. His agent is pushing for it Fulham looking elsewhere but the minute they ask the question hes gone. Thats how i see it.

My bad, missed what he's just said that they're apparently looking elsewhere. Fingers crossed.

Do you realise how much Fulham get every year just for being in the Prem?! £8m is peanuts! But anyway, no way he’d join Fulham, sideways step.

Not sure that that's the case. I know they like him and Kieran may well not be averse to the job and his agent may well have been made aware of what would be on offer there. Agent/publicist may be placing stories, as was the case a couple of years ago, although if that were the case you'd think they would be more widespread. I suspect the £8m compensation might be putting them off, that and having to match that in terms of wages.

Surely tho if you had no personal interest youd be telling your reps to stop? Or can they basically do what they like?

Right it’s £8m up front and £8m again on his wage. A huge outlay for Fulham for what is probably a higher risk appointment than they might like to make. Still can’t see it.

That rings a bell now that you say it. Do I recall correctly that KMc wasn't best pleased with his agent's/publicist's conduct last time around?

Someone else who doesn’t understand just how much impact £8M has on their accounts under SCR, and its impact on funds for player trading! It’s a significant material amount for financial compliance calculations. You don’t put something like this in a contract if it’s not going to be a deterrent for many suitors.

When he is already incredibly well paid and to prove himself as an elite level manager it would ridiculous to be increasing his salary

That’s naive to the extreme. Things that might be under consideration / to be negotiated : - new contract to reset to 4 years - big bonuses for over-performing in the next 1-2 years - a clause that he would be released for less is a certain club came calling There are all sorts of possible contract changes that might be of interest to Kieran, not just a change a salary.

Unless he wants out and this is the best opportunity to make that happen. He did mention how difficult this past season was and we can only speculate as to what that meant.

And of interest to town would be imo of course. Keep it as it is until he proves hes an elite manager. Unless of course hes open to a contract which increases his release fee. Clubs got to look after itself here. Its not all about what he may want when hes not f8nished higher than relegation in the prem..

Probably the likes of Man United or Spurs, which we are led to believe are the two jobs he covets. My take on this is that he doesn't relish another relegation fight and his agent is putting it out there, rather than Fulham chasing him.

I imagine you may be on to something with your second point - he and his agent may fear that a second relegation may somewhat blot his copybook.

There have been a lot of clubs chasing him already if they don’t see him elite potential. As far as I’m concerned, if he wanted a new 4 year contract with us right now, I’d say give it to him. There is a synergy between our manager and club, and that will be hard to/ take time to reestablish.
