Honestly, saw the announcement on TWTD’s home page, did a “whaaaaaaaat??”, and then couldn’t take it in, just sat there staring at it in disbelief with my jaw on the floor, for the next 2 minutes. I think it’s still there, I haven’t yet arrived at the grief stage.

I think the shock/disbelief/grief will eventually be mitigated by excitement about how a good new manager might be able to progress us further. Though that in itself might be mixed with fear and trepidation!

Pretending it's not really happening at the minute. Haven't felt this bad about a departure since Ian Marshall.

I was very young and on holiday. Parents phoned my brother at home and received the news that Ian Ian Marshall, my favourite player, had left. I then spent the entire holiday adamantly refusing to accept it.

I'm a grown up now though, so will probably be able to come to terms with it by the end of the week. Growth innit.

Woke up this morning just feeling empty.
It truly is the end of something incredibly special. The farewell message really made me teary and it shows how much this club means to him.

Forever grateful. What a special man and he will smash it wherever he goes.

He sounded absolutely gutted didnt he? Maybe there is some big personal issue that we dont know of...

For some reason i keep thinking he will end up back here at some point in the next couple of seasons if things dont work as planned with the new manager.
