So that’s 3 out of 4 22:27 - Jun 10 with 899 viewsbsw72

Of our most successful managers have left the club while close to their peak, and on their terms, with the only exception being Burley.

I’m going to say it, I’m kind of relieved that he has made the choice and we aren’t going through another summer of will he won’t he and media speculation. I’m pleased for him that he has done it on his terms and as such the memories of him at the club will be mainly the promotions.

Finally it means we go again, start fresh with a new coach at the helm.

It’s added a sense of fresh anticipation for this summer, fingers crossed for an appropriate coach.

I’d personally quite like it to be Solksjaer, not sure why apart from the fact that he seems a similar character to KM and that calm measured manner was one of the things I liked most about his personality.

Time will tell, but exciting times.

I think given where McKenna is from there's as much chance of him managing England as West Ham being warmly welcomed at The Den next season.

I've been looking for the right thread to post this on, but as someone who worked at ITFC from 2002-2017 in hospitality and sales, leaving this wonderful,. amazing club feels like you've literally just blown up your life.

But you meet a moment in your life when you realise that you need to quit the bubble and move on. .

For some it is much sooner than others, but if you are cursed with being a massive fan and working there too, it makes the job very taxing! ::) 10
