KMc was the 7th longest serving manager in the English leagues. To be honest we had him longer than we could reasonably expect. Most terms end in acrimony and disappointment - whatever his reasons for walking away (and they are his reasons) then he owes us nothing whatever he decides to do in the future.

I know we all want the tittle tattle, to be able to take our grief out on the Big Bad Ashton, but imagine being in the spotlight every day for 4 and a half years, not having a moment to yourself as your kids grow up but you only see them for a quick hug at night - wouldnt you want to take a breath?

He had no historical ties to Town, but he embraced us, cried with us, celebrated with us. And now we let him go. He has left us in a position no one could have expected when he joined. What he does next? Who knows, but he owes us nothing and some of the speculation about his motives, well, sometimes, just think about it

Well said sir! Very eloquently put.

I wholeheartedly agree. He owes us nothing and gave us everything. He will manage again and he will succeed. Wherever he goes, they will be massively lucky to have him.

I have nothing to say but a huge, huge thank you. Thank you for the success, the football, the memorable days/nights, the goals and taking Ipswich and Suffolk to your heart like you were one of us.

Thank you Kieran πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

Given how intense modern management is I don’t think we’ll ever see another Wenger or SAF length reign. It’s not humanly possible to function on that level for an extended period of time and these guys also have families. McKenna pretty much got the May Half-Term with his kids out of season, would have had to miss parts of Christmas Day and birthdays etc. Your kids are only young once no matter how much money you make.

If I was Kieran I would never accept another manager's job again. Horribly tough job. He has earnt over Β£10 million in the last two years alone. He has done so well. You can see in his face how much stress and strain he has been under. I think he has more than enough in the bank to have an ultra comfortable life. The way forward for him if he needs his football fix is the be a studio expert for the game. His insight and expertise would be a breath of fresh air and his health and well being will not be stretched. He can enjoy football without the personal stress. Easy life.

The only job I would consider is the England managers job.
