I actually started a thread the other day about that album…
It's a really good album, especially the last song (Sing the Absurd). I had all the singles from that album too because the bonus tracks were so good, especially Closer to Fine and Room 512.

I first saw Tommy in the very early 80s. I was 10 or 11. It was on the TV quite late at night. I didn't know much about The Who at the time but the film mesmerised me. This particular scene is insane!

My mum wasn't a fan... I'd been to the Brixton gig at the end of that tour, and I bought a long sleeved gig t-shirt when I was there, which had a very large "IDIOT' written on the front, with "manoeuvres tour 1994" in small type underneath it.
I wore it until it fell off me eventually, but she never liked me wearing it, as she often said "but you're not an idiot, I don't like that people might think you are with it saying that!"
