Turned it down as he wants a EPL move. Definitely looks like the type of #9 for us. More of a springboard striker than a poacher, like a more powerful/athletic Hirst. I can see quite a bit of Mateta in him. €40 sounds quite steep though!

Difficult to get too excited about links at this stage with no manager/coach in place.

Would presume this is one on a big list being looked at, and maybe contacted to see if he would be open to a move. And then his agent has put this out there.

Coincidentally my son suggested him for Town a couple of days ago.

Barça were showing some interest at the beginning of last season when he was scoring freely. Goals dried up a bit later on.

Physically very strong. Very good finisher and a good age.

We just need a manager now so we can sign him.

€40m will be the clause but they only paid €3m for him last Summer, so I doubt they'd be anywhere near making that kind of profit.

Whats up with that clause? Are clubs now putting a Prem tax on now - i.e £26m release fee, but £34m for PL clubs.

Surprised players agree to include that.

Or maybe it's £26m release fee climbing to £34m on conditions.
