It takes seconds at the World Cup but you can guarantee it’ll be 5 mins of arsing around in the premier league. Am no fan of VAR but it’s very well implemented in international tournaments, I barely even notice it

I'd rather have nothing checked by VAR, once upon a time that's what referees were for. However if we have to put up with it, I'd say it's one of the more sensible decisions.

“that takes literally seconds to decide”. At this tournament maybe, but I’m sure our refs can stretch that out to 3 or 4 minutes. VAR has been ridiculously quick so far in this competition compared to what we’re used to. Croatia’s second and possible offside yesterday was checked pretty much in real time so quickly that it wasn’t obvious there was a check. Our muppets would have taken at least a minute, probably two.

It does seem weird VAR is used for some decisions but not others. I think that's why it's so frustrating and inconsistent.

I'd rather scrap it, but you're not pushing that turd back in are you?

If the corner thing was to work, would it be for every time the ball is out or only when the referee say pushes a button to ask them to check it? Neither appeal.
