Kieron McKenna has the worst win % in Premier League history. 22:23 - Jun 19 with 836 viewsMarshalls_Mullet

Based on managers who have managed more than 25 matches in the Premier League, statistically KM has the worst win % in the entire history of the league.

I say this in the knowledge that KM is one of our best ever managers, and he did a great job for us on and off the pitch.

My reason for pointing this out? Don't judge a manager based on stats alone. Give Gary O'Neil a chance, and get behind him.

P.S. Vincent Kompany didn't fare too well either.

Kieran McKenna was rolling out Jen Cajuste and Sam Morsy in his midfield every week tbf but I take your point.

Exactly that ... statistically the 2024 - 2025 season was Ipswich Town's worst season since joining the football league in 1938.

And yet a manager who has kept two separate teams in the Premier League is deemed an unforgiveably uninspiring appointment.

Genuinely embarrassing overreaction.

It makes me laugh we played open and expansively with a high press and got battered in the PL. Then we change style in the champ, were quite boring and people are now worried about O'Neil being too pragmatic after McKenna ball.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Im still not sure we did play open expansive football tbh or whether we just had players who couldn't run.

We were pretty direct and thought we turned in some decent performances but just couldn't see games out but again better recruitment will solve that.

We did play with really high press and energy and got it exposed though, instead of being more comfortable out of possession.
