Things to do advice needed - 22:35 - Jun 30 with 856 viewsMattinLondon

We’ve booked a holiday house in the Norton Green area (ST6) near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

It’s for quite a big birthday and wondered whether the TWTD hive mind can recommend any good pubs (family friendly and with good food) or restaurants nearby. As well as things to do like walking trails etc.

Thanks in advance.

Newcastle-Under-Lyme is an interesting nearby location with some nice eateries and pubs. It is also where I won the 1982 Staffordshire Masturbation Championships. Happy days.

The Monkey forest and Trentham gardens is a good day out.

The Wedgwood tour is quite good and there is the option to make your own pot at the end. You have to leave it, and they will fire it, but you can collect it a few weeks later, or, I think have it posted to you.

There's a good restaurant and a good tea room and cafe there, too.

Have it in your back pocket for a wet weather option, at least!

I don’t know ST6 at all, but you’re about 15 mins from Biddulph and the National Trust site there is lovely
