To The club Ashton and whoever else involved. Sure they are hard at work as there must be more incomings and out goings in the next month or so as the start of the new season is rapidly approaching.

I think some football fans are just addicted to seeing new signings. Over excitement over people they never heard of until last week, in most cases!

As a long suffering supporter of this club, due to past traumas, there's always a twitch in my eye whenever we see a lot of change happen fast as historically it doesn't usually go that well for Town, which is why seeing Burns stay was a breath of fresh air!

I think it is now widely accepted that prompted sides need to strengthen , I am quite sure every effort is being made but as I have made no secret of I'm a worried.

It's a strange time of year at any club, with the ' here's the lads back in training' media sfuff, when in all probability quite a few of those lads will be somewhere else before the first league game.

Just as important to sell or loan players out I would think, I guess it's still 25 players plus younger that have to be registered ?.

Why on earth are you worried, it's early July!?!?!

I'm not seeing Hull or Coventry making loads of signings, or anyone to be honest!

Later this month, when players and managers are back from the world cup, things will start happen.

Chill bruv.

RIP Sir Bobby

Reckon there will be a plenty of business for us before then as well.

We have more heavy lifting to do than last time. I think people forget our one success wasn’t actually high up our list (Delap).

In that context, Ashtons failure rate when he had money, is about 95%!!

That’s other clubs were competing with success rate.

Doesn’t mean he won’t get this window right - but it makes it highly unlikely, same process and person, only this time he’s ‘learnt’ from our 22 points.

If after 36 years in the game; he didn’t know the level of the premier league, and our manager who’d been assistant at Utd didn’t, it doesn’t bode well.

It’s obvious where the problem is. But Marks worked hard to build his Moat - that’s the Moat that stood out progress and likely sees us regress.

Let’s judge in August, but the happy clappers, they will clap regardless - something something Morecombe.

There he is .....

The major issue (IMHO) with the previous season was we were promoted to quickly through the leagues and had no mechanism at all to cope with the requirements , or at least not the mechanics that were good enough

We've invested far better since and had time to adapt with the new found finances , this season could be totally different , although still very difficult

Just get positive for once and give the man / club a chance ffs

Darkhorse doesn't accept any mitigating factors apply pragmatism or any context other than the one he believes is right.

Weird as he writes in a comprehensible manner, but has insane tunnel vision on all matters.

The central midfield position will be crucial for recruitment, seems as O'Neil's tactics try to make use of double pivots to create space. I feel the centre of midfield was often dominated during our last prem season

I'm just not a chill sort of person , have this reoccurring memory of one home win all season , but on a more serious note Keiran was keen to strengthen our midfield last year for the Championship. Yes I'm sure it will happen won't it ?
