Just on the plane home from Berlin after the most amazing weekend.
Having gone over on my own, I just wanted to say a big thank you to the Town fans I met and tagged along with on both Friday and Saturday; Ian, Albert, and Sam on Friday night, and then the bigger gang I met at Tusche's on Saturday afternoon, and then ended up over at Savignyplatz with after the game.
Also a special mention to all the Town fans on the S3 after the game (I'm the chap who swapped shirts with a Union fan!) - it was fantastic to hear the S-Bahn stations filled with Town songs as the train disgorged its cargo during its journey through the city.
Thanks, too, if he's on here, to Jacob Sweetman for his (and Union's) gracious hospitality on Friday evening.
Finally, massive thanks to the BA guys, who helped make so much noise and atmosphere in the stadium. That 20min rendition of 'Don't Take Me Home' was something else, and the atmosphere after the final whistle felt more like we'd won a European tie than a meaningless pre-season friendly. I just hope Ashton will put his ego to one side, and recognise just what he has available to him in BA.
