Interesting the whole stay away thing due to owners, the way I see it whoever is CEO/owner whatever I don't care. The club basically 'belongs' to the fans as without them there is no club. That said obviously I have protest chanted in the past against a particular regime but to not watch my club is not something I could do.

Then you get those who stayed away in protest over it all, when really they didn’t stay away over it all.

It’s all about trying to look a hero on here.

What a terrific job MA is doing. We are lucky to have him steering the ship.

I could not agree more, the twtd ethics police have been in force over his PR disaster with reform. Like they have never made mistakes before.

Strange as a lot of the said posters seem to be relatively intelligent and grounded normally.

He clearly got played by farage and crrtainly did npt think the whole thing through, but people learn from their mistakes. To think he could just come out and say sorry for inviting reform in (whoever did it) is fanciful, he would have just tiled up another group of supporters.

but they cannot let it drop can they, even going into a new season. Shame that as it will only damage the club.

There’s a very slight case that the initial invite was a mistake and we were caught short by their promotion. Only the slightest case though, given we gave them unfettered access and a bunch of printed shirts. Plus this is what Reform always do. You’d have to be incredibly naive to think they wouldn’t turn the visit into a PR op. But let’s assume Ashton is simply very naive. Improbable; but let’s assume that. He’s allowed a mistake.

That still missed out a big chunk of the incident which is the denial and deceit. That part wasn’t a mistake. Not when it plays out over the best part of a week. That annoyed a lot of people.

This is still a national level story/association that’s not going away any time soon. It takes some cheek to blame the unhappy fans for that. The damage was done by Ashton.

It looks like Farage is going to disappear under a raft of corruption allegations and likely suspension soon anyway, so maybe when he’s gone everyone can move on and put the whole sorry story behind us. But I doubt it will be forgotten while Farage is still a relevance and gunning for more council seats/MPs.

We get it you gave up your season ticket in protest you don’t like him.

I’m sure the person who took your seat are pleased with your bed wetting!

Ashton In!

It's funny how you keep bringing that up when I don't!

But we are better when we all act as one or some other corporate platitude!

I watched the GON first day video recently and was literally lolling when he was walking around showing him the departments and introducing him.

Reminded me of Brent doing that walk through with the new employee around in the first series.

Classic stuff!

I posted exactly that at the time.

As I say, I think it must be semi deliberate now.

Either way, absolutely brilliant (flabulous)

Yeah, I don’t buy the damaging the club argument either. Not when the complaining is restricted to places like this. People discussing it still is having less of an impact than the original incident. If people were protesting inside or outside the stadium, that would be a different matter. But nothing like that is happening. All of us are united in supporting the team.

Nobody’s pressurising other fans to hold a particular view either. If people want to say they were annoyed by any aspect of it, fine. If people don’t care, also fine.

I do rather enjoy it, probably more because thought the office season 1 was quite literally the best think I’ve ever watched.
