If it is him, then fine, but am I showing recency bias by saying there seems to be a drop off between Emmerson and Delap, especially Emmerson's mental strength and unselfish play. I can't help but feel we'd be be fleeced, transfer fee wise, due to him being young and English. I know his release clause meant Chelsea underpaid for him, but he's not worth more than £30m now.
Personally I'd much prefer Ueda, but it's all gone quiet on that front. | |
