Would be a shame to have just half a season with Mehmeti at the club.
Clearly signed to help get us promoted but then not considered good enough once we're there. Wonder if this is a growing trend amongst players who probably realise they're a top end championship player but not good enough for the PL? Get promoted, get a bonus, then drop back down and do it all again [Post edited 25 Aug 14:35]

Sad really but as BB has already said , not really played enough games to show what he can do . Some flashes of brilliance but then anonymous at other times

I had heard on Saturday there were legs in the rumour.
Makes sense on a few fronts. He's got Maeda, Clarke & Philogene ahead of him in the pecking order, which is hard to argue with. We were rumoured to have paid £3m because of his contract situation at Bristol City, on a 3.5 year deal, of which there must be about £2.5m left as a book value. Presumably we would sell him for much more than that if its a straight sale and make a nice profit, which will help fund arrivals.
If its a loan deal I was told we wanted a Jan recall, presumably so we could hold them ransom if he was vital to their promotion hopes.
Either way he's unlikely to get a look in with us, and Wrexham have deep pockets. Pull their pants down I say and get as close to 8 figures as possible. |  | | |

Agreed. He has too much tunnel vision. Goes down blind alleys too often and can't release the ball at the right times. A buzzy player, but there are ten-a-penny like him at PL level with even better vision/end product.
Sell him for £9m for roughly £6.5m profit on book value. Likely £6m profit on Hirsty too. £3m profit on Muric's book value? We're not doing too bad here in terms of outgoings. I fear there's still one more that could still go through too... | | | |

Not sure he's the right kind of player for our setup now, either. He's all about tricky maneuvering in crowded boxes. Better for prising open the low blocks we saw last season than what we're likely to face in the Prem, where pace and strength are more sought-after.
Plus he's going to be behind Enciso, Clarke and probably Walle Egeli for the No.10, even without us making more signings for that role. |  |

I like him. Mehmeti is quick, eye for a goal, strong and brave with plenty of skill. He injected much needed energy into the side when he arrived and seems a great character. Good player.
The downside is that he got into the habit of disappearing down blind alleys and sometimes makes poor choices. Overall, he’s a higher standard than Bristol City but I don’t think he’s good enough for the Premier League beyond squad emergency level. So an ambitious Wrexham or a good side like Middlesbrough or Southampton (they could throw in some binoculars too!) would be a good fit for him.
We have better players for his position so I cannot see him getting much game time. Hard old world professional football so I’d let him go for the right money. In today’s inflated transfer fee market, ask for £10m, accept £7m plus add ons including a percentage sell on fee. |  | | |
