He can play on the right as well. Whether that's "can" in a similar way Clarke and Egeli "can" play on the right or whether he's more accomplished I'm not sure.

My concern is he hasn't played since his injury. He's hardly going to be able to make an impact from the off and that's what we need.

Hall as a longstanding target is funny, he's 20 with one season of senior football. Can't see either of these making much impact this season

As I said elsewhere. Why would we take up a squad space just to get someone else's player fit for them?

If we'd be interested in anyone from Spuds, I could see us taking Richarlison or Sarr on loan.

Neither of these would make sense tbh

Though I do like Odobert, signing a 20yr old youngster with zero PL apps seems so far away from what we need. Unless we are doing a Van Oevelen and buying talent to loan out.

If I can remember Witcoop whilst getting some stuff right, is patchy at best for transfer news

Call me a cynic, but is there a reason town are doing double signings where one is a youth product and the other a player the team bought?

Strasbourg had to pay Brighton a bit of the profit on Encisco. But Ouattara they developed so was pure profit. I wonder if there was some clever accounting to reduce the Encisco fee but inflate the other so the proportion passing from Strasbourg to Brighton was reduced or below a threshold.

If so, it could be the same here? That Odobert has a percentage sell-on due to Burnley but Hall is pure profit, so Ipswich think it's a strategy to woo Spurs by cutting one fee, inflating the other, so Spurs have to pass less on?

I am probably too cynical.

I heard that this was also the rationale for the double deal of Savio and Marmoush from City to Spurs, with city looking to minimise what they pay Frankfurt. This report was probably someone trying to conjure up other possible combinations
