I think their business has been fairly poor so far. A few days left of the window (and they still have two PL loan slots left) but I was a bit concerned Lampard might have some real pull in this window. Thought they may be able to get a couple of players like Tomori, Barkley, Loftus-Cheek, Mount, Abraham. But not appearing that way. The one they seem to be linked with is Mudryk, and I would be quite happy for him to go there. [Post edited 28 Aug 15:03]

But Yirenki, Amenda, Tchaouna have decent pedigree and are a good age. So Cov should get a decent price when Burnley buy them next summer.

Far too early for it to mean much I think. If you assume this season will be the same as two years ago, then yes, because 6 points would be a quarter of the projected points totals. But something tells me the points totals will be higher this year. All it would need is for Hull to lose a few on the trot and Coventry to fluke a couple of wins.

We thought that we were signing players that would see us survive, but as we found out those sort of players are not quite ready or up to the standard required for the Prem.

Hamer is sh1t. Awoniyi is injured a lot. Rushworth is good, but is not worth half of what they paid. Rest of those could all be decent business tbf.

Yirenkyi and Rushworth are excellent signing though Rushworth purchase was just treading water on last year as they had him. Overpaid a bit but important to get him. Amenda looks a decent signing but not experienced at all at this level. Onyeka, Awoniyi and Pinnock both experienced heads at relatively low cost but not exactly exciting. Awoniyi could go well if he can stay fit but big if. Cherif - nobody knows Tchaouna - jury out as seems to flatter to deceive. Low output at Burnley. Hamer - a bit of a nostalgia signing. Talented but not a prem athlete. They just haven't done enough is their biggest issue really. But 3-4 more in will give them a chance. Think we have signed much higher calibre overall and in bigger numbers. None of them get in our best 11. Amenda might have a chance if he develops well. Yirenkyi would be a good young midfielder to develop but miles behind Lukic and Palacios. Luis also far more experience and proven quality. Yirenkyi has a chance to be top player of course.
