Thought I'd see how Hirst and Johnson are doing for Stoke today.

Johnson has just given away a pen for absolutely nothing (total dive by Jimenez).

Hirst touched the ball 4 times first half and has been absolutely awful which has been sad to see. Passed the ball straight out of play start of second half. His confidence is rock bottom and his control and play is so poor at the moment. Missed one that knocked them out of cup. It's been a horror show start at Stoke.

Meanwhile Chaplin off injured and Leicester fans all slagging burns off. Utter madness. Sad to see how our ex players are struggling away from us.

I reckon somebody must have made a deal with the devil that anybody who was part of the double promotion side would have their career go down the pan after leaving us.

Hladky has hardly played a game since leaving us.
Burgess wasn’t pulling up trees at Swansea and now has a horror injury.
Woolfie can’t get a game at Coventry and just seems to spend his time arguing with people and moaning.
Fridge is despised by Boro fans, Sarmiento isnt that popular either.
Luongo got crocked immediately.
Morsys Middle East move failed and was poor at Bristol City. Time will tell how he gets on with Blackburn.
Chappers poor at Pompey and now injured back in League One.
Harness and Jackson both flopped at Derby and are now being bang average in League One.
Broadhead in and out of the Wrexham team.
Hirsts confidence is in the gutter.
Ladapo has hardly scored a goal in over 3 years.
Ali is permanently crocked and confidence is also in the gutter.

Omari is the only exception really but even he hasn’t pulled up any trees with Forest

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

Feel sorry for him and chappers as Leicester is a pure poisonous club to go to. Bet Fatawu is well pleased to be out of there and get some proper support.

It shows what momentum, coaching and team cohesion can do because on an individual level i can’t say I’m that surprised. How on earth did we get nearly 100 points from a pure talent standpoint, put that team up against the 2024 Leeds squad player for player, unbelievable.

Some good players in there of course but we literally had Harness up front for about 6 weeks.

True. It's crazy. You have to say if anything it shows what an incredible job McKenna did. But also why we needed to make the changes we did last season as well.

Morsy has been excellent at Blackburn so far to be fair. But obviously age is catching up with him so can he do a 46 game season maintaining form.

Its very simple

They were a team of misfits who had some talent but many weaknesses.

What KM football allowed was for their better part of talents to come out

Move on and be asked to be different types of players and playing with others hurts them

Similar to when we brought in sammy s and akpom under KM. We didnt use them in a way that utilised what they were best at....

Szmodics not looking much better. We were probably a bit blinkered about some of these players; it was completely the right decision to move them on.

Omari wasn't part of the double promotion team. Only won one with us.

We probably got most of those players at their peak, and/or played to their strengths. We were always greater than the sum of our parts in 2023/24. Horrible than barely any of them have been able to build a career away from us after what they did for the club, though.

Seems like Russel Martin would be the very worst manager for Wes Burns, or anyone who likes to make a direct run in behind, stretch defences and show some genuine intent to score a goal. Feel like he'd rather play 5 central midfielders across the pitch so they can pass it sideways to eachother.

Yeah - Omari and Broadhead were proper talented players, Hirst was laying with confidence and Morsy was a special captain but there was quite a lot of fairly average EFL players in there as well.

Moore was crucial in getting us over the line as well.

Not the prettiest reading (think Burgess was a mainstay prior to horror injury and Broadhead generally preferred but even so!). Sarmiento injured today too according to R5.

Is Omari angling to leave or is he being squeezed out? A couple of stories have framed the potential Milan move around him struggling at Forest, as opposed to him moving up in the world.

We’ve had the Derby game on. I’d say that’s the worst performance I can remember seeing in the Championship. Even the basic running isn’t there. No shape, no effort, no quality. They were terrible. Swansea could have had 7 or 8 conservatively if they could finish better.

Yep, he’s getting slaughtered.

‘Burns just looks like a middle aged bloke trying to play football in the park with his younger mates’ is one of the kinder comments. Somebody else hopes he retires right now.

Draw for Leicester at MK. Two points from three games and the manager is as popular as gonorrhea. Work to be done.
