That must have been some game to see. What an achievement that season was. Unequalled really.
Thinking of Norwich statue ideas there’s about a dozen players from our 61/62 Champions that’d come before any of theirs, I’d have thought, before you get to the great players that followed.

I was at that game with my dad. All i really remember is that it was a midweek game. Incidentally, 90 years ago today we played our first professional game beating Tunbridge Wells Rangers 4-1. That was a game I didn't see!

I'm assuming the numbers in brackets besides the names are the goal times and not the amount of them! If they were, I think we'd have done more than alright ). Seriously, my first match at PR was a year or so later, and I think that might have been against Burnley too, though the memory is a little hazy!

Yep it was an amazing game. The 1961 one I mean. I was also at the previous one when we lost to Man City at home, thanks I seem to remember to a great performance by Bert Trautman in the City goal. What a season that was.

Sod being a goalie back in the day! The minute you calmly collected the ball it seems it was totally legitimate for a couple of their centre forwards to bum rush you and barge into you.
I wonder when that died out. I don't remember it from the early 80's onwards.

Good pics of the old ‘chicken Run’ stand. My father and grandfather will be amongst that lot but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen any footage of the game.
They went on to play first division Aston Villa. Drew away and the old ancestors were there for the 2-1 replay loss of which there’s YouTube footage.
