I wonder where we are with Abraham then? 18:25 - Aug 29 with 4909 viewsJoey_Joe_Joe_Junior

Can’t help but thinking, is he maybe waiting for a chip to fall somewhere else. So much business going on right now.

Like if Mateta goes the other way?

Guess we won’t have long to find out! Hope it gets done or that we have a quick fire plan B lined up.

Seems like a bit of a coin flip but I think we’ll get him!

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

That is how I had interpreted articles, but then I have seen snippets from reliable posters suggesting it is done. Given Fabrizio seemed to know it was down to Tammy to decide, and that seemed to be more that what Stuart Watson had posted, I assume he might leak something unless he got paid for the other messages and he would get nothing for this one and been told not to post anything.

A bit like Palacios, we must have been given some encouragement to make the loan bid as the player was interested. I can understand him waiting to see if the likes of Enciso and Palacios joined. Can only think he now knows of some new interest and is holding out for them making a bid.

Have to stay patient for longer.

He was injured in pre season too, which would explain why we held off until the end of the month to make an offer.

Once he's decided that there's no better option, he'll be signing that the moment he spoke to the manager and found out the plan for him and realised how ambitious the club is and heard about their great history and amazing fans, he couldn't wait to join.

If Clubs agree the deal then given how long there is left in the window I'd like to think we'd give him a set time to make a decision, I don't think that's unreasonable..

Not sure what your point is to be honest. The window closes in three days.

We don't want to be rushing a player travelling, doing a medical, agreeing terms and all sorts on deadline day. We need at least one additional day so for me the deadline would be 20:00 tomorrow.

At least if it's a straight loan deal there's no medical, it's literally an agreement between clubs and then the player needs to sanction it. With Tammy we're stuck on the latter. Maybe he's waiting to see how we do against Man utd before making a decision. No point joining us if our strikers won't get service.

I'd have thought we'd do a cursory medical even for a loan? Otherwise we could sign someone who is unable to contribute.

What, no medical? He would costs us at least a few million in wages that’s nonsense!

I very much doubt he’s going to make his entire call on an away performance at old trafford either, especially with our window thus far and having 3 points on the board.

Odd post.

There would be a medical.

Some things change compared to a transfer onw.. for example we wouldnt look at long term health but more what are we going to get in the next 12 months.

My guess is its done and its pending either registration acknowledgement or some other paperwork or simply the club choosing not to finalise/communicate ahead of a game. I guess the other matter could be Manager and Player to meet and that might have been why GON said the media were ahead of him on the Friday presser because that was not possible in the prep window before Sunday.

I’ve no idea how these things work in practice so forgive any naivety, but is it not likely that TA was sounded out before the clubs agreed things? Seems a bit weird for the clubs to agree things unilaterally then ask him if he wants to come. Maybe that’s wishful thinking in my part. But you’d presume he had a say before a deal / structure was negotiated.

I think you've possibly got the Man U thing spot on. Not sure that's the type of player I want at the club if it turned out to be true. Judging a club on one result away from home against the side that finished 3rd in the PL last season?

What stupid speculation.

I know that it’s the internet but I am sure I’d read that Gabriel Jesus and Tammy Abraham had turned us down for bigger clubs which is why we were after matey from Burnley? I thought that was already established so I’m surprised people are still talking about them as potential signings.

Jesus is going to Barcelona. Can't see anything online about additional interest in Abraham.

Or announced after the game - as either a lift or the cherry on the cake.

If he doesn't want to come or is playing hard to get then he can jolly well fk off and not waste everybody's time.

I don't like being held ransom to players who think they are princesses or bigger than the Club.

We all know what happens being strung along by players such as Ioannidis and signing prima donnas such as Omari and Philogene.

MA and GON should be smart enough to have a back up option

Maybe we need Wolfe(enden) to make the heights of Abraham.

Ok, a rather tenuous historical play on words

I swear I read that he’s going back to Italy having turned down the loan here?
