I think we will do well to get a point out of the next two games, also not a prob if we don't, and then pick up a win or two next three fixtures. Don't want to be a kill joy but it's gonna be tough and let's be realistic depite the quality signings.

Obviously we will try to win but realistically it's likely two games where we will get nothing.

For me, if we can be competitive and avoid more than 2 goal defeats I'd be OK with that but would love obviously to get something out of at least one of the games.

Hull beat Utd and we could have beaten them last time around so you never know. But today could be anything from a 5-0 demolition to a 1-0 away win.

First and foremost lets give a good account of ourselves as we are the headline game this weekend and see where that takes us.

If we give them a proper game this afternoon that will be good enough, it's all about showing some heart and not rolling over like we did last time round.

A point would of course be welcomed!

There’s no point putting too much pressure on these next two. Just need to go and enjoy the experience of getting play these kinds of games. Anything we can get will be a bonus.

We’re going to face a backlash tomorrow from United, and an intense atmosphere at the start. We’re massive underdogs.

But if we can contain them early doors, and bring some threat from the beginning on the break.
The longer is goes on without them scoring, our chances will increase.

But Man U have very good players and one of the best in Fernandez. Just got to win that central midfield and get at their centre backs.

As you say though we’d do very well to get a point. And the win probability is 70% Man U, 13% Ipswich.

And paddy power have a Man U win at 4/11 and a Town win at 7/1 - which is sobering.

A good performance and a tight margin would be something to take back to Suffolk and feed the intense atmosphere we need to generate Friday night against Liverpool.

The players we have now may be a better fit for these big team games. I still expect us to lose, but possibly with our previous players they were very much know their place plucky English system players. Whereas now wer are assembling a group who want to be playing these big teams, showing themselves to the world, proving themselves. Less fear and resignation I think. Backed by Dara talking about no fear. Before was too obviously a free hit.

Yes, hopefully some of these guys will come to the fore in these 'big' games.

If Man U play well then will be hard to get anything, however they often bottle it under pressure. We absolutely can go there and get a result.

The funny thing is, after last Saturday, we’re the ones who go into this match under no real pressure. 3 points already banked, a point would do nicely for us if we can get it.

Anything is a bonus. That’s the benefit of winning games like last Saturday at this level.

People always talk about backlashes and 'teams will be out to prove a point after a poor result' but I'm not sure sport works like that.

they lost against hull cos of structural issues. you can't just will those away. teams playing badly normally keep on playing badly. otherwise spurs would have won yesterday.
