Luke Shaw does same on Fatawu just now… no yellow with the VAR describing it as “inevitable contact.” The decision was certainly inevitable.

I see where you’re coming from, but Fatawu let the ball tun away from him, jumped in and took out the man. Def yellow. Shaw cleared the ball and then took out Fatawu. They weren’t equal, although the follow through from Shaw probably deserved at least a word from the ref.
